This is a simple and informal service modeled on the earliest known synagogue service, perhaps as early as the time of Jesus. We begin by greeting each other and singing together. The music is livelier here than the second service. Then we listen to God's Word read and proclaimed, followed by prayer. We celebrate the Lord's Supper each Sunday and close with a hymn.
This service's liturgy - or format - is based on the liturgy of the Church that has been in place for centuries, with modern twists. Once a month we add praise music. Weekly, our choir sings. On the major days of the church calendar, we celebrate communion. The service follows the age old pattern of gathering, hearing the Word of God, thanksgiving, and sending.
